Unofficial fan project
Dakkapedia is an independent, non-commercial fan-made reference for the tabletop game Warhammer 40,000. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Games Workshop Ltd in any way.
Trademarks & copyright
Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, the Warhammer 40,000 logo, and all associated names, characters, factions, units, logos, imagery and the distinctive likenesses thereof are either ® or ™, and/or © Games Workshop Limited. They are used here purely nominatively — to identify and reference the game so players can find information — and we make no claim of ownership over them.
What we do and don't reproduce
- We do not host Games Workshop's artwork, miniature photography, box art or logos.
- Unit statistics and points values are presented as factual reference.
- Rules, abilities and similar descriptions are written in our own words — we do not reproduce Games Workshop's published rules text, lore, flavour text or painting guides verbatim.
- The site carries no advertising and no affiliate links; an optional "buy me a coffee" tip only offsets server costs and is unconnected to Games Workshop.
Requesting removal (takedown)
We respect Games Workshop's intellectual property and want to stay firmly inside fair, non-commercial fan use. If you are Games Workshop, a rights holder, or their representative and believe any content here infringes your rights, we will remove or amend it promptly and in good faith — just ask.
Email [email protected] with:
- the page URL(s) in question;
- a brief description of the material and your concern;
- your name and a way to contact you;
- a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
We aim to respond and action genuine requests as quickly as we can.
Data sources
Game data is compiled from publicly available information and community datasets and re-expressed in our own format; points reflect the current Munitorum Field Manual. This site exists to help players reference and build with models they own — and, ideally, to send them to Games Workshop to buy more.
